Nick Grimshaw has stepped into the world of fashion, designing his first collection exclusively with Topman.
The Radio 1 DJ and X Factor judge, known for his rockstar style, has infused the line with his own personal taste with pieces ranging from the simple to outlandishly flamboyant.
Ranging from £15 to £200, the 20-piece collection is only slightly more expensive than Topman’s original designs, you can pick up a range of scarves, shirts, jackets, and a backpack.
Prior to designing the pieces Grimshaw collected pictures of clothes from his own wardrobe and doodles in a scrapbook where he sat with Topman designers to rework them into his own patterns. One design, and what looks like the logo of his current line, is the silhouette of his Bull Terrier, Pig.
It’s hard to imagine how Grimshaw has found the time to pull these pieces together after working double duty on television and the radio, while constantly being papped out with a host of celebrity friends such as Harry Styles and Kelly Osbourne.
The limited-edition clothing are quite interesting, we’re pleased for Grimmy on his first outing and are sure he’ll rock these distinctive looks week to week on tv, however, the designs aren’t particularly something we would wear.
