Google Debuts Its Latest Easter Egg

Stop whatever you’re doing and Google “A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away”, typing the first line of Star Wars into the search engine brings up a fantastic surprise.

In celebration of the new movie preparing to come to screens as the seventh instalment, Google have honoured the franchise by turning its site into the iconic screen crawl.

The command phrase brings up a regular search page with usable links but in the celestial style looping the first page over and over. If you attempt to use any other of Googles features such as an image search the graphics will end.

This is the latest in a long line of easter eggs created by Google including the barrel roll, the many street view edits and a whole host of April Fools Jokes.

The site also allows to join the light or dark side which will affect the design of all your Google apps until February, 2016.
