Where To Get Your Christmas Jumper

A statement Christmas jumper is the staple of every mans wardrobe in winter. While one for Christmas dinner is completely acceptable, we like getting a few in to wear throughout Decemeber.

As it is not an item one buys often we have done the legwork for you and found the best places to pick one up. Our first ever #WednesdayWardrobe where we’ll inform you on where to pick up the best clothes.

M&S has a great range of christmas jumpers, we got ours last year and as opposed to itchy wool, or cheap and tacky. These options are soft and well crafted, meaning the slight extra price is a solid investment. We can’t wait to slip ours on again this year!

Average Price: £30

The go to store for any gay, Topman actually has some good options this year. A lot of Christmas-based phrases and puns, but sadly a few turkeys (we can pun too). Their piece de resistance; a ‘Sleigh my name, sleigh my name’ sweater that we now have in our shopping basket.

Average Price: £20

Next is usually kind of boring and plain, but this year they have some great ugly jumpers as well as a nice collection of smarter options. We’d say if you want a classic jumper this is the place. Leave the fun to the younger-based shops.

Average Price: £28

Mecca to the homosexuals, H&M has maybe the worst Christmas collection this year. Only a few real options and most of those are not even cute ‘ugly jumpers’ but ugly ‘ugly jumpers’. Very underwhelming.

Average Price: £14.99

Online shopping is never complete without a browse through this site, and it provides useful this holiday season. It has a couple of options you should steer clear from, but also a good range of festive patterns. They also have reclaimed vintage and a few charity aid sweaters which is nice around Christmas.

Average Price: £30

The quality of Burtons clothes are not worth the cheap price, we’d rather spend a little more to feel comfortable. The material may not be the most luxurious but if you’re on a budget this year, you can still pick up a good product from here. The blue one above is our favourite.

Average Price: £20

TK Maxx

As always, it’s a jumble sale. But if you’re brave enough to scavenge through the junk, you may just come across a diamond for next to nothing. There are some solid options here for just £9.99. As with Christmas jumpers, they’re all pretty similar year to year and everyone reuses as they’re seldom worn so it does not matter if they’re last season like much of TK’s stock.

Average Price: £14.99

Asda’s own clothing line, we don’t visit here as much as we maybe should. It gets a bad rep as its a cheap store made clothing line, but once every now and again our father comes home with something somewhat decent. There line this year is wearable but on the lower side of this list.

Average Price: £12

We expected Debenham collection to be a little more classy than it is. There are one or two stand outs, but the majority is far too busy for our liking. They have a great deal of superhero and pop culture themed sweaters if that’s what you’re into. Many of the selection has 30% of at the moment so take a look!

Average Price: £25

The jumpers in this online store are similar to many others we’ve already seen around other places, but there are some good stand outs. Many pop culture referenced sweaters here, even one from Breaking Bad, sorry what year is it? There’s a sale on the the average price is down right now too!

Average Price: £16

For classic options, and if you’re a bit more upmarket Fatface is a great option this year. Their sweaters are so soft and well made, and the patterns are perhaps the best around if you’re willing to spend a little bit more for a piece that will last a few years!

Average Price: £45

Funky Christmas Jumpers

On the flip side, if you like to see yourself as a bit of a joker, this site specialises in Christmas jumpers. There are a wide range of unisex ‘comedy’ options for you to choose from. If you’re going to spend this much on a jumper we suggest you don’t get a topical one such as santa on a wrecking ball, or a reindeer ‘breaking the internet’.

Average Price: £39.99
