YouTuber’s To Watch: Movie Bitches

YouTube has become a platform for everybody with an opinion they deem interesting enough to share, yet through the mountains of tired material sometimes comes a gem.

We’re not usually one to watch movie reviewers on YouTube but somehow we stumbled upon one that we. are. obsessed!

Movie Bitches is made up of good friends Andrew Galdi, and Avaryl Halley who casually shoot the shit, and spill the tea all while downing mass amounts of red wine.

Armed with an extensive knowledge of both pop culture and obscure cult references, they analyse media with a whimsically ludicrous yet deep tone that is distinct to themselves.

There is a definite train of thought that is constantly derailed and interrupted with unrelated tangents that somehow circle back to the original idea. No matter how far they deviate from their initial purpose, somehow it all bizarrely connects together in a way that makes so much sense, yet no sense.

They often review new blockbusters, but deviate in to television at times, including RuPaul’s Drag Race – and honestly of the multitude of video reviews, recaps, and rants by fans this is by far our favourite and the most entertaining.

Watching the pair bounce off one another in their casual style is like listening to you and your own best friends. As a twosome they’re funny, witty, and say everything we are thinking. They also throw out great movie references that have us rushing to see their campy recommendations.

Avaryl Halley earned her reviewer stripes by working as a freelance editor since graduating from California Institute of the Arts in 2008 with a BFA in Film/Video. She had created media for numerous websites
including moviefone, film.com, nextmovie, and aol.com.

We can’t find too much about Andrew Galdi on the web, but he sure does love to send an irritated message to companies via Twitter, snarky to the bone.

Our only advice to the pair is that they need to review the camp classics they often use to make jokes. We would love to hear their thoughts on Showgirls, Mommie Dearest, and Too Wong Fu, but most of all we kind of just wanna be their bitchy BFF’s.

During their 3 years on YouTube they have racked up 7,786 subscribers and 1,687,145 views (as of October 10) but they deserve far much more than that so check them out and subscribe! You’ll thank us.
