With so few successful LGBT members in the media, it is important to recognise and support the openly gay stars that we do have. Singer, dancer, and actor Nick Adams is the Broadway triple threat with a face that could launch a thousand ships.
If you are not familiar with stage musicals, this will most likely be your introduction to the openly gay actor Adams and all I can say is, you’re welcome!
Through he had quite the impressive career he is perhaps best known for originating the role of Adam/Felicia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Broadway in 2011.
For the role he won two Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, for “Favourite Breakthrough Performance” and “Favourite Diva Performance”, was honoured by the American Theatre Hall of Fame and was nominated for the 2011 Astaire Award for Best Dancer on Broadway.
Prior to this role he was a member of both the international tour, and Broadway cast of the musical Chicago, the original Broadway cast of The Pirate Queen, and co-starred with Mario Lopez as Larry in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line.
In June 2009 he was in the original cast of the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, and the following year played Angelique in La Cage Aux Folles on Broadway. His most recent stint onstage was in 2014, playing Fiyero in the first National Tour of Wicked.
In 2016, Adams appeared in the second season of our favourite LGBT web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted.
Currently, Adams is touring around featuring in several different productions including: New York City Gay Mens Chorus, American Showstoppers, and The Skivvies.
P.S. his performance with The Skivvies is must watch content if you want to enjoy amazing vocals as well as Adams nearly nude.
